New Rule #1

Okay, super awesome readers.  Do you really think we can lose 10 lbs in 2 months, which is the New Challenge Proposed by Faith and Inspired by Vegas™?  Give us a due date, Faith!

I’m not sure I’m on this train to be honest with you; 10 lbs in 2 months just sounds like a lot of sacrifice to me right now.  BUT.  I AM going to get there!  As soon as I’ve finished the cheesy rice and chicken casserole from the fridge and this bottle of delicious Tangueray Rangpur has been pried from my cold dead grip put to bed.  One step at a time, ay?

So.  New Rule #1: DRINK MORE WATER.

We all know the adult beverages are our downfall.  And I don’t know about you, kittens, but I’m at the point where quitting cold turkey is less appealing to me than being thin.  I KNOW.  I have problems.  But I hear Lindsey Lohan just got out of jail so maybe she can give me some pointers.  ANYWAY…

FOR EVERY ADULT BEVERAGE YOU CONSUME,
YOU MUST ALSO CONSUME 24 OUNCES OF WATER.

Stop with the whining and the incredulous looks!  Faith’s idea was to make you drink a litre.  That’s 33.8 ounces, math wizards!  You’re welcome.

  1. Sounds super easy – im going to up the ante and drink an extra 8 or 16oz for each cuppa coffe I drink too – I drink WAY too much coffee- not ready to stop that or the booze yet.

    Just want to clarify: this is on top of the requirement
    of 64 + ounces** of water that your body demands daily.

    ** there are many professionals that believe that you should drink 1/2 of your weight in ounces of water a day.
    i.e. if I weighed . . say 133 lbs… I would need to drink at least 66.5 ounces of water a day.

  3. I’m in!!!!! Although after this weekend I think that means I need to drink approximately 160 oz of water today.

  5. OMG. Sure it *sounds* easy, but holy cats.

    Having 2 cocktails in the evening is turning into an assault on my bladder. Of course, this has not yet turned into a deterrent… but it’s definitely making me think about what I’m doing. With all the waking up in the middle of the night to pee and all. So: step in the right direction. Yay us!

    (Annondog, you are exempt from the weekend. This rule does not apply to special occasions.)
